Practice History

Zelm Chiropractic Center, S.C was founded in 1961, by Dr. Alan E. Zelm and his wife Joann. At a time when chiropractic was not considered "mainstream", Dr Zelm built one of the most successful and busy practices in southern Wisconsin. In 1975, Dr. Craig W. Brue, his brother-in-law joined him in practice. Dr. Brue retired in 1995.

In 1987, Dr. Zelm's son Mark, joined him in practice. Dr. Mark Zelm later became president, being involved in every aspect of ZCC. In 1990, Dr. Zelm's daughter Ann joined the practice, opening a second location in McFarland, WI. Currently, ZCC has five Chiropractors between the Stoughton and McFarland Clinics.

We would like to dedicate this website to Dr. Mark A. Zelm, who passed away on May 5, 2002. Dr. Mark had a phenomenal practice and truly cared for all his patients. He had a vision for ZCC that we will only try to fulfill. He is greatly missed by his family and his patients and there are no words to describe the purpose that he felt for Chiropractic and for his clinic.

Thank you,

ZCC
